TMJ Dysfunction
The Temporomandibular Joint (your jaw) is often a source of significant pain and discomfort for many. Like headaches, TMJ Dysfunction is often predisposed by a variety of factors such as stress and anatomical predispositions.
Hands on treatment often involves soft tissue massage, dry needling to relevant muscles, articulatory methods to the jaw itself and intra-oral release techniques, a combination of which can help with tension release and symptoms.
That being said, not all TMJ Dysfunctions can be "fixed" with hands on treatment alone and sometimes specialist referral is needed. Whether it's hands on treatment or a referral needed, we can help point you in the right direction!
